Resume Manager Geolocation User Guide

Once you have the plugin installed and activated it is recommended that you activate the license key provided to you when you purchased the plugin. If you do not remember the license key you can get it from your Purchase History page. The license key will provide you with automatic updates and support for Resume Manager Geolocation add-on.

To enter the license key go to the plugins page of the website dashboard.

Resume Manager Geolocation Setup

The admin's menu tabs of Resume Manager Geolocation add-on will be added to the WP Job Manager Resumes plugin's Settings page tabs. Below are the settings provided to you by Resume Manager Geolocation add-on:

  1. GEO General Settings tab
  2. GEO Search Form Settings tab - Settings for the resumes search form
  3. GEO Single Page Settings tab - Settings for single resume page

GEO General Settings tab

  1. Import Location - Import resumes location entered previously the installation of Resume Manager Geolocation.
  2. Google address autocomplete (admin) - Disply suggested results by google when typing an address in the location field of the new/edit resume page.
  3. Google address autocomplete (front end) - Disply suggested results by google when typing an address in the location field when creating or editing a resume from the from end.
  4. Autocomplete country restriction - restrict the address autocomplete results to certain country of your choice.

These settings will be the default settings that you can use with the resumes search form short code

All you will need to do is choose the settings that you want and add the attribute grm_use="2" to the resumes short code

[resumes grm_use="2"]

The value 2 given to grm_use tells Resume Manager Geolocation add-on to use the settings provided in the admin in order to add its features.

Resume Manager Geolocation Shortcode Settings

  1. Google address autocomplete - Display suggested results while tying an address in the location field of the search form.
  2. Radius Values - Enter a single value to be the default radius value or multiple values comma separated to be displaed as a dropdown and let the user choose from
  3. Units - Choose a single unit to be used as the default units value or choose "Both" to let the user choose using a dropdown select box
  4. Locator button - Automatically get the user's current location and submit the form
  5. Order by - Enter the values you want to use in the "Sort by" dropdown select box. Enter, comma separated, in the order that you want the values to appear any of the values: distance, title, date and featured.
  6. Display Map - choose if to show a map or not
  7. Map Width - Map width in pixels or percentage (ex. 100% or 250px)
  8. Map height - Map height in pixels or percentage (ex. 100% or 250px)
  9. Map type - Choose the map type between ROADMAP, SATELLITE, HYBRID and TERRAIN
  10. Scroll on Marker Click - When marker click, scroll screen down to the resume associate with it in the list of results.
  11. Show Distance - Display distance of the candidate's location next it's location in the list of results

GEO Single Page Settings tab

The settings on this tab will control the map of the Single resume page. Using this settings you can display a map of the candidate's location, you can set the map's height and width and you can choose the map type.

Resume Manager Geolocation Shortcode Usage

Above you can see how easy it is to add the additional features which Resume Manager Geolocation add-on provides to a search form using the settings page. This is a great way to do so if you are using a single search form on your site or have multiple forms but you want them all to look the same and have same functionality.

However, with the shortcodes attributes you can define each search form differently if that is what you are looking for. All you need to do is add the attribute grm_use="1" to the search forms shoertcode you are using

and add the additional attributes listed below to define the features of the search form:
